Call for Abstracts: Minisymposia during the MexSIAM Annual Meeting 2021

Numerical modeling is an essential tool, used in Earth sciences to gain insight into the physical processes in the subsurface, land, oceans, and the atmosphere of our planet. There is a continuous development of numerical methods to simulate these processes more accurately. The challenges that the new methods are tackling include: the assimilation of large volumes of data, efficiently simulating in larger domains and with higher resolution using supercomputing, integrating many physical and time scales, and combining different physical models. This mini-symposium will focus on the application and analysis of state-of-the-art
computational methods to problems in any area of geology, geophysics, oceanology, or atmospheric sciences.
